The ANU Film Group in Canberra is Australia’s largest film society and has been screening films in Canberra since 1966. They screen over 150 films a year, with a large selection of French movies.
Here is what you can enjoy in French this Spring / Summer 2022 :
11th August, 2022 : Maigret - directed by Patrice Leconte, starring Gérard Depardieu, Jade Labeste, Mélanie Bernier, and Aurore Clément. From the bestselling Belgian novel Maigret.
In 1953, the body of a young woman is discovered at Place Ventimille in Paris, dressed in an elegant evening gown. There is nothing to identify her, and no witnesses. Pensive and world-weary Inspector Jules Maigret endeavours to piece together her story.
