Beef Australia 2021 [fr]
The Ambassador of France in Australia, Jean-Pierre Thébault was pleased to participate in Beef Australia 2021, "the meeting place of Australian agricultural excellence”.
The Ambassador took this opportunity to recall the importance of agriculture for both our countries: "For France as for Australia, agriculture is our first culture: we are naturally fascinated by this industry because it is essential to provide a living for our fellow citizens, to feed the planet and at the same time to contribute to protect territories and species. Today, farmers are at the forefront of the fight to preserve the planet and provide solutions."
In 2019, a French delegation came to Australia to meet with Australian farmers. It allowed the creation of many ties.
Together with Business France and the Alliance Française in Rockhampton, H.E. the Ambassador had the pleasure to meet with Australian breeders of French cattle breeds, which are numerous and of very high quality. He also met with Beef Australia 2021 Show Director Jess Webb, Queensland MP Michelle Landry, Tasmanian MP Julie Collins, Queensland Senator Matt Canavan, Deputy Mayor of Rockhampton Regional Council Neil Fisher, Director General of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Bob Gee, Chief of Staff, Office of the Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities Dan McIntyre, Executive Manager Advance Rockhampton Greg Bowden, President Capricorn Entreprise Derek Lightfoot and Vice-Chancellor CQ University Prof. Nick Klomp.
