Covid-19 - Visa activity to resume
The Consulate-General of France in Sydney resumes its visa activity from June 29th 2020 for certain priority categories, in addition to the categories already allowed to enter France (spouse, partner, PACS and children of French citizens ; spouse and children of European citizens, British, Icelandic, Liechtenstein, Norwegian, Andorran, Monegasque, Swiss nationals, usually living in France or transiting through France; foreigners who ensure the international transport of goods ; foreign healthcare professionals to fight the spread of Covid-19) :
Students (short and long stay visa)
For professional reasons (long stay visa)
For family reasons (long stay visa)
For holders of a resident document (resident permit or VLS-TS) expiring after June 15th, 2020.
No category of application other than those mentioned above will be received.
The appointment booking methods remain unchanged.
The visa service is open to the public by appointment only from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 12 p.m with limited reception capacity in the respect of imperative social distancing. Each visitor must wear a mask and have their own pen. An Express Post envelope with your address filled for the return of passports must be provided with the visa application.
The issuance of the visa does not guarantee the capacity of immediately entering the territory which remains linked to restrictions applicable at the borders and access to air travel. The visa applicants will also have to make sure of:
the conditions for return to their country of residence.
their right to leave Australia regarding the current travel ban in force.
In addition, each applicant is required to complete and carry with them during their journey to France an International Travel Certificate and a declaration of honour certifying that they do not present symptoms of Covid-19, downloadable from this
