France will host the 2023 Rugby World Cup

In Sydney on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th August 2017, Claude Atcher, chief executive of the French candidacy, Nicolas Hourquet, international head of the French Rugby Federation, came to defend the French candidacy project for the organization of the Rugby World Cup 2023 in front of the Executive Committees of the Australian Federation and the Oceania Rugby Confederation.

After its tour in front of rugby federations around the world, the French delegation presented in London its candidature file for the Rugby World Cup in 2023 in front of the council of World Rugby.

To stand out from its competitors, Ireland and South Africa, the French bid had to be ingenious and demonstrate a truly innovative vision. On this occasion, # France2023 unveiled the film of its candidacy, entitled "ZE FRENCH TOUCH".

On November 15, 2017, France had the honor of being elected host country of the 2023 World Cup by the International Rugby Federation.
