Don Hickey was part of the Standby crew who searched for the missing yachtsmen Thierry Dubois and Tony Bullimore, participants in the solo around the world yacht race. Don was the crew member that spotted Thierry Dubois’ upturned yacht and guided the aircraft to the position, and he also first detected the mechanical sound that provided evidence that Bullimore was alive inside his upturned yacht.
