Opening of a New Caledonian “Corner” at the Alliance française Sydney [fr]
Thanks to the New Caledonia Delegation in Australia, based at the French Embassy in Canberra, the Alliance Française Sydney boasts, since 2 December 2019, a vast collection of art books, comics, novels, and DVD’s on the theme of New Caledonia.

Lyn TUIT, President of the Alliance française Sydney, and Yves LAFOY, Official Representative of New Caledonia to Australia, inaugurated the “New Caledonian Cultural and Education Corner” " within the Alliance Française de Sydney on Monday, December 2.
Funded by the New Caledonia Delegation in Australia, the “New Caledonian Cultural and Education Corner” has four main objectives:
to promote la francophonie in Sydney, given that French is the second most popular foreign language taught in Australia,
to increase the visibility of New Caledonia’s diverse languages and cultures,
to meet the strong demand expressed by the 500 members and 4 500 students enrolled at the Alliance française Sydney,
to promote New Caledonia as a tourist destination to the Alliance française’s students and their families.
