POSITION VACANT: SECRETARY TO THE CULTURAL AND COOPERATION COUNSELLOR (COCAC) [fr]
The Cultural and Cooperation Service (SCAC) of the Embassy of France in Canberra is seeking to fill the role of Assistant to the Cultural and Cooperation Counsellor (COCAC).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Coordinating the main communication project of the SCAC: Creative France: bilingual articles writing, website and booklet of events; promotion of our activities in cooperation with the communication service of the Embassy;
Organizing the annual project on Francophonie, coordinating the French presence at the multicultural festival in Canberra;
Organizing cultural events in partnership with local organizations.
Assisting the COCAC in preparing his missions interstate and abroad;
Agenda management and meeting preparation for the COCAC;
Preparing official correspondence, administrative documents, reports and minutes of meetings;
Managing and processing incoming and outgoing communications (telephone, letters, emails, etc…);
Reporting on the SCAC budget and implementing grants;
Event management, including logistical organisation of meetings, seminars and conferences;
Distributing internal and external information relevant to the operation of the SCAC;
Following the honoured decorations;
Filing and archiving of documents.
Capacity to be proactive;
Good organisational and record-keeping skills;
Capacity to read, speak and write with a professional level, both in French and English;
Previous experience in an Office environment and good grasp of Microsoft Office programs (word-processing; spreadsheets);
A cultural background will be much appreciated.

Please note the advertised position will be available from 23 October 2019.
This is a full-time (37 hours per week) position. The gross remuneration package is $4 388 per month, plus employer superannuation contributions of 11.75%. The successful candidate will be entitled to five weeks annual leave. Please note that only applicants with the right to work in Australia will be considered as the Embassy is unable to sponsor personnel.
