Prove your level of French
Several French proficiency tests and French language diplomas are accepted to gain admission into a French institution of higher education. It is also a great asset to include on your CV.
You can demonstrate your level of French proficiency by passing a language test (TCF or TCF-DAP) or by earning a diploma (DELF/DALF). The DELF and DALF are official French language certifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language (recognized in 165 countries). Each year in the world over 300,000 students register to take the DELF/DALF exams. There are 5 levels available, from beginners to advanced. Plus this diploma is valid for life!
In Australia the DELF and DALF diplomas as well as the language test (TCF) can be obtained at the Alliance Française in each of the capital cities, as well as at the Hobart, Albury and Wagga Wagga branches.
