The Embassy of France in Australia and Paris Sciences et Lettres join forces to support student and scientific mobility [fr]
A Letter of Intent was signed on the 2nd of March 2017 between the Embassy and Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL), on the occasion of the visit to Australia by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development Jean-Marc Ayrault.
PSL is a Community of Universities and Establishments (COMUE), which gathers 25 of the top French higher education and research establishments. As a laureate of the “Initiative of Excellence” (IDEX) program, PSL is one of the 9 French universities recognised by an international jury for the quality of its training and research. For this reason, PSL benefits from exceptional funding in order to increase its international visibility.
Thanks to this cooperation, the Embassy and PSL will set up a co-financing mechanism for student and scientific mobility between France and Australia to help strengthen the academic and research partnership between the two countries.
The Letter of Intent was signed in the presence of the Minister during a meeting hosted by The Australian National University (ANU), which is committed to French-Australian cooperation in the fields of academia, science and innovation. A strategic partnership agreement was also signed between PSL and The ANU on this occasion.
More detailed information regarding these agreements will soon be available on this page
