Travelling to France from Australia : update (July 2nd)

Starting from July 1st, France will open its borders to travellers coming from Australia.

Rules regarding visas will stay the same :

-  If your citizenship status and the length of your stay allow you to come to France without a visa, it is still the case.
-  For more information regarding visas, please visit this page.

Disclaimer : the Consulate-General of France in Sydney has resumed its regular visa activity, except for short-stay visas which cannot be issued without the proof that Australian Border Force will accept a return to Australia.

Please note that the following categories will be processed in priority :
-  Students (short and long stay)
-  Business travellers (long stay)
-  Travelling for family reasons (long stay)

Australian citizens and permanent residents are not currently allowed to leave Australia. If your situation requires you to travel, you must submit a request to the Department of Home Affairs.
