Visit : H.E Jean-Pierre Thebault discussing French-Australian economic synergies and renewable energy in New South Wales community Wales
The two-day visit in New South Wales was a great opportunity for H.E. Jean-Pierre Thebault, Ambassador of France to Australia to discuss with various partners synergies between France and Australia in terms of economic growth and renewable energy.
On the first day, H.E. Jean-Pierre Thebault and Anne Boillon, Consul General of France, stopped by NSW Parliament House, meeting with President of the Legislative Council the Hon. Matthew Ryan Mason-Cox and Assistant President Rod Roberts. On this occasion, the NSW Parliament gave us the honor to fly the French flag.
The Ambassador of France had the pleasure to discuss with the Hon. Matt Kean, Minister for Energy and Environment of NSW about the opportunities of cooperation in the framework of the NSW Energy roadmap Earth globe asia-australia.
H.E. Jean-Pierre Thebault then attended a roundtable on Renewable Energy with industry experts organized by the European Australian Business Council.
In the evening, the Ambassador met with the vibrant start up community with a briefing from the French Tect regarding growth oppotunities in France.
On day two, H.E. Jean-Pierre Thebault visited Cicada Innovations to discuss how Australia and France can form a strong deep tech alliance together.
The Ambassador had then the great pleasure to visit Westmead Health and Innovation District.
